Havana Earns 5-4 Win
|
The Havana Sugar Kings beat the St. Louis Archies, 5-4, at Team2 Ballpark. Havana first baseman Billy Olson had an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Jorge Figueroa, who is tied for 6th in the AL in saves with 19, nailed down the save. The Havana win streak is now 4 games.
Olson had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a full count sinker from Nate Edmondson, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Sugar Kings a 5-4 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Olson.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Olson.
