Wilmington Beats Sudbury, 4-1

The Wilmington Blue Rocks beat the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, 4-1, at Beavers Park. Starting pitcher Jason Scothorn was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. In 7 innings, Scothorn surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. With the win, the Blue Rocks hiked their record to 48-48.
The Blue Rocks got a big at-bat from catcher David Terkeurst. For the game, Terkeurst went 2-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave Wilmington a 2-0 lead.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Blue Rocks manager GM bigbluex02, "I like our chances."
