With Late Score, Red Storm Beat Buffalo
The Lansing Red Storm defeated the Buffalo Buffalo in 14 innings, 6-5, in part because of center fielder Tyler Farrell. Farrell was 3-6 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Red Storm. Lansing reliever Sergio Bahena got the win, raising his record to 1-3. Eric Thompson was tagged with the loss. The victory puts Lansing at 32-65.

Pete Batley was 1 for 6 for Lansing. With one out and the game tied in the top of the 14th inning, Batley, who is a two-time All-Star, had a clutch at-bat. Facing Buffalo hurler Eric Thompson, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Red Storm a 6-5 lead.
