Thompson Helps Dublin Cruise to 11-2 Win
|
The Dublin Porters defeated the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, 11-2, at Porters Ballpark. Leading the charge for Dublin was third baseman Peter Thompson. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Dublin, now 19-12, has played well in the early going.
Gabriel Macias, who finished 4th in the FL in wins above replacement with 4.4 in 2045, chipped in a grand slam home run for Dublin in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 5 runs batted in.
