Archies Deal Desert Storm 3-1 Defeat
|
Danny Dudley, who finished 2nd in the FL in ERA with 3.44 in 2047, was locked in. The right-hander led the St. Louis Archies to a 3-1 win against the Arizona Desert Storm at Desert Storm Stadium. Dudley got the win, improving to 5-0. He gave up 3 hits and walked 3 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. St. Louis now has a record of 62-33 with the win.
Alex Pimentel had a direct impact on the outcome. Pimentel contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put St. Louis up, 2-1.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Pimentel told the St. Louis News.
