Adams Pops Two Homers in 7-4 Win for Detroit
Detroit and Sudbury duked it out and the Pizzas came out victorious.

The Detroit Pizzas licked the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, 7-4. Chris Adams deserved a big chunk of the credit. The center fielder slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Pizzas. George Liston sewed up the save, his 18th.

Adams had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-2 fastball from Matt Wesberry, he banged a grand slam home run to left-center, giving the Pizzas a 7-3 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Adams.

"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Adams.

With the win, the Pizzas have a record of 60-36.
