Gabe Herrera impressed in the 6-5 Los Angeles win over East Haddam. Herrera, who is a three-time All-Star, went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Steve Wilkerson, the winning pitcher, improved to 7-9. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 1. Eric Barone earned the save for Los Angeles, his 12th of the year.

With Los Angeles leading 3-1 in the bottom of the first, Herrera hit a changeup from Efrain Sanchez for a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Kings ahead, 6-1.

"Feels good to get the job done," Herrera said after the game.

The victory makes Los Angeles 32-62.
