Red Storm Get Thrilling 2-1 Win
|
The Lansing Red Storm took Spencer Hay's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Ballpark of Atlanta. The final score had Lansing getting past the Archies, 2-1, in 10 innings. Hay over 8.1 innings allowed 1 run on 2 hits, while striking out 7. The Red Storm raised their record to 35-58.
The decisive blow was delivered by Tommy Biggs in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off three-time All-Star Satoharu Sato to win the game for Lansing. The home crowd went nuts.
"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Biggs. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
