The Dublin Porters knocked off the Buffalo Buffalo, 8-3, in Federation League action at The Greenhouse. Dublin pitcher and Vernon Valley, New Jersey, native Ben Verville had an outstanding performance. The third-place Porters improved to 43-51.

Dublin won the game in part because of Jason Widel. The designated hitter ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Porters ahead, 2-0. For the game, Widel had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"Ben's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Dublin manager Hannah Porter.
