Red Storm Lose Again, 6-4, to Hyenas
The East Haddam Hyenas picked up a win at Ballpark of East Haddam, taking down the Lansing Red Storm, 6-4. Starting pitcher Chris Newell was a big reason why. Newell, the winner, moves to 5-2. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 1 walk. The Red Storm drop to 11-20, as their stumbling start to the 2048 season continues.

Matt McCauley, who finished 2nd in the FL in triples with 5 in 2045, took Lansing hurler Jon Flint deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run home run put the Hyenas on top, 3-1. In all, McCauley had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

Afterward, Lansing manager GM TDen said: "We've hit a rough patch."
