Beavers Rocked By Dragon Warriors, 10-1

Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Lorenzo Lobato, who is tied for 6th in the AL in triples with 2, the Hanoi Dragon Warriors defeated the Portland Beavers, 10-1. The winning pitcher was Aaron Wierzba. He's now 10-3. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits for the Dragon Warriors. With the win, Hanoi pushed its record to 46-46.
Danny Laines had a big 2-run home run for the Dragon Warriors in the top of the first inning. With Hanoi leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Sam Davis, who is on pace for 217 strikeouts this season, and swatted a home run to center. It was his 16th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dragon Warriors ahead, 3-0.
Dragon Warriors manager GM Patman had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
