Barber Schools Hanoi in 2-1 Portland Triumph
|
The Portland Beavers scored a tight, 2-1 win versus the Hanoi Dragon Warriors at Beavers Park. Portland pitcher Ray Barber held his own in the contest. Tony Orellana closed the game out for Portland, earning his 20th save. Hanoi has now lost 5 consecutive games.
Barber, who dominated for Portland, earned the victory to move to 8-7. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 7. Hanoi batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"Ray giving us the start that he did was huge," said Portland manager GM bigbluex02.
