Dragon Warriors Beat East Haddam, 5-4
|
The Hanoi Dragon Warriors picked up a win at Ballpark of East Haddam, dropping the East Haddam Hyenas, 5-4, in 12 innings. Aaron Wierzba, who is tied for 6th in the AL in innings pitched with 128.0, was the difference-maker. With the win, Hanoi pushed its record to 45-44.
Hanoi used the hitting of Jamie Williams to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Dragon Warriors on top, 5-4. For the game, Williams had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"Feels good to be on the winning side," said Wierzba.
