The umbrellas came out during the Havana-Detroit contest at Pizzas Ballpark.

The Havana Sugar Kings downed the Detroit Pizzas, 9-4. The hitting star was designated hitter Alex Medina. Medina went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Sugar Kings. Chad Edwards got the win, improving to 6-8. He held the Pizzas to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 1. The save went to Danny Daniels, number 1 for him.

Havana left fielder Jay Wesner made an impact. He drilled a single in the top of the first. In the contest, Wesner went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2.

"Feels good to get the job done," Medina said after the game.

By defeating Detroit, the second-place Sugar Kings improved to 44-46.
