Hyenas Suffer 5-1 Home Defeat
|
Nate Edmondson pitched a gem to lead St. Louis to victory over the East Haddam Hyenas, 5-1. Edmondson got the win, improving to 9-4. He gave up 7 hits and walked 3 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. This win makes it 6 in a row for St. Louis.
St. Louis used the bat of Marcos Nevarez to get the win. The right fielder spanked a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Archies ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it altered the outcome.
"Nate is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said St. Louis manager Terry Schneekloth.
