On Road, Los Angeles Drops Havana, 4-2

Sugardome II was the site of a competitive game between the Havana Sugar Kings and Los Angeles Kings.
The Kings grabbed a win, 4-2, at Sugardome II, overcoming a fine effort from Havana pitcher Kwan-wuk Tae. Tae went 8.2 innings and allowed 4 runs. Picking up the win was Larry Collier. He went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. The right--hander struck out 8 and walked 1. Jim Davis recorded the save for Los Angeles, his 10th of the season.
Los Angeles used a well-timed hit by Mario Gonzalez to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Kings ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
After the game, Los Angeles manager Jim KP applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
The loss drops Havana to 16-14.
