Dragon Warriors Stumble, Lose to Knights
|
No one was more impactful than Esteban Gonzalez in the 8-4 Brooklyn win over Hanoi. Gonzalez, who is tied for 7th in the AL in RBI with 61, was 2-2 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times. Ray Totino got the win, improving to 7-7. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 4 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 9 and walking 6. Brooklyn is now 42-47, Hanoi 45-44.
Danny Ortiz, who finished 5th in the AL in stolen bases with 26 in 2049, helped out the Brooklyn cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Gonzalez.
