Osaka Absorbs 3-2 Loss to Sudbury
|
The timely hitting of Albert Bencomo helped the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs down the Osaka Takoyaki, 3-2. Bencomo went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Blueberry Bulldogs. Josh Freeland got credit for the win, improving to 9-6. He allowed 1 run on 10 hits in 6.1 innings. Justin Roeber recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 15 for 19.
Sudbury took a 3-1 lead on Bencomo's 19th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Justin Donahue in the top of the sixth, propelled Sudbury to the win.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Bencomo said after the game.
Sudbury is now 46-42, while Osaka is 39-49.
