Blueberry Bulldogs Deal Waikiki 3-2 Defeat
Sudbury pitcher Josh Freeland had a large part in his team subduing the Waikiki Wayfinders, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Derrick Bergdahl snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Josh Brenton suffered the loss. The win gives Sudbury a record of 2-1.

The Blueberry Bulldogs got a big hit from center fielder Ryan DiFranco. In the bottom of the sixth, DiFranco smacked a 2-run double off Waikiki pitcher Josh Brenton. It was his 2nd double of the season. Suddenly, the Blueberry Bulldogs were ahead, 3-2.

"Josh kind of went out and dug down and got some outs when he needed to," said Sudbury manager Coach John.
