Buffalo designated hitter Sam Gleghorn played a vital role in his team's 3-1 conquest of Portland. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 run for Buffalo. Noah Powell got the save, his 19th in 24 chances. The defeat makes Portland 39-48.
Brian Nadeau, who finished 3rd in the FL in extra base hits with 75 in 2040, had a direct impact on the outcome. Nadeau contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Buffalo up, 2-0.
