In the 6-4 Kyiv win over Portland, the impact of Chris Nicotra was substantial. Nicotra, who finished 5th in the FL in OPS with .920 in 2045, was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Trenton Peterson picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Tony Orellana was tagged with the loss. Nicotra had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 0-1 fastball from Tony Orellana, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Cossacks a 6-3 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Nicotra.
