Deere Jacks Two Home Runs in 11-4 Sudbury Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from the fan favorite Josh Deere helped the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs beat the Lansing Red Storm, 11-4. Sudbury pitcher Josh Freeland earned the win, hiking his record to 10-4. Vicente Tejeda suffered the loss. Earning his 4th save of the year was Eric Barone.
In the top of the first, the Blueberry Bulldogs took the lead, 2-0, when 23-year old shortstop Joe Seelye drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"We hit the ball hard," said Sudbury manager Lord Parquad. "Line drive after line drive."
The Blueberry Bulldogs go to 51-34, putting them first in the Federation League Birdbrains Division.
