Porters Earn Clutch Win, 4-3
|
The Dublin Porters took Justin Kennedy's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Ballpark of East Haddam. The final score had Dublin getting past the Hyenas, 4-3, in 12 innings. Kennedy over 8 innings allowed 1 run on 6 hits, while striking out 12. The win for the Porters raised their record to 44-41.
Dublin used a clutch hit from Won-shik Im to get the win. The first baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Porters ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a doozy.
Said Dublin manager Hannah Porter: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
