Takoyaki Stumble, Lose to Beavers
|
Portland second baseman Oscar Hernandez was a significant contributor in his team's 9-2 triumph over the Osaka Takoyaki. He went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Beavers. The win was credited to fireballing right-hander Tony Orellana in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Hyeok Kim took the loss. By defeating Osaka, the second-place Beavers improved to 42-43.
Portland first baseman Danny Gutierrez helped the Beavers go up, 3-2, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Gutierrez hit a run-scoring single off Osaka pitcher Ben Bosley.
"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Osaka manager GM KDR.
