Despite a great performance by San Antonio right fielder Kyle Jones, the Buffalo Buffalo defeated the Aztecs by the score of 7-6 at Estadio Azteca. Jones was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Glenn DePue, the winning pitcher, improved to 10-7. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 8 hits and 6 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 3. The first-place Buffalo have a record of 51-34.

Buffalo used the timely hitting of Brett Artis to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Buffalo on top, 7-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Buffalo manager Jim Punk42ae.
