Osaka Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Osaka Takoyaki beat the Waikiki Wayfinders, 5-4, at Takoyaki Park. Osaka center fielder Felício Toronho had the hot bat. He went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. The win makes Osaka 36-48.
The game came to a climactic end in the bottom of the ninth. With Osaka trailing 4-3, Juan Redondo delivered the big blow, hitting a cutter from Alfredo Barahona for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Takoyaki had a walk-off win.
"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Toronho said.
