The Kyiv Cossacks got a magnificent effort from pitcher Mark Powers, who kept Arizona hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Cossacks win at Kyiv Grounds. The winner was Powers. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Mario Martinez. The save was Cheong-won Hwang's, his 15th.
