The East Haddam Hyenas weathered an outstanding game by Osaka right fielder Mike Hernandez to topple the Takoyaki, 6-5. Hernandez was 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. East Haddam is 27-55 and Osaka, with the loss, 37-46.

East Haddam took the lead, 6-4, on Oscar Herder's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Osaka pitcher Dave Sartuche in the bottom of the seventh.
