Lakes Giddens Smacks 5 Hits
|
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for David Giddens today. Giddens went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Arlington pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Killarney Ballpark, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Killarney Lakes had a 9-8 victory over the Trappers.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.
David Giddens singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Tony Sanders in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Sean Butler in the 6th, singled in the 8th, struck out in the 10th, walked in the 13th, grounded out in the 15th and singled in the 17th.
On the season, Giddens is batting .236 with 18 home runs and 48 RBIs. He has played in 65 games.
