Wayfinders 3-2 Winners Versus Hanoi
|
Not everyone stuck through the 47-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
In a low-scoring contest between the Waikiki Wayfinders and the Hanoi Dragon Warriors, Jon Flint, who finished 2nd in the FL in innings pitched with 223.0 in 2044, proved to be the difference. The Waikiki right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Wayfinders win. Flint yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 2-2. Picking up the save was Danny Dudley, his 3rd.
Center Fielder Tyler Farrell made an impact for Waikiki, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Tony Ramos in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Farrell was 2-4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I executed the game plan," said Flint.
The win has Waikiki at 10-18.
