Super Volcano 7-2 Winners Over Osaka
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Yellowstone Super Volcano and Osaka Takoyaki.
Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Ryan Chiasson, who is tied for 6th in the AL in RBI with 20, the Yellowstone Super Volcano defeated the Osaka Takoyaki, 7-2. Art Madsen, who is tied for 4th in the AL with a 1.98 ERA, was the winning pitcher. Over 6.2 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts.
Yellowstone used a well-timed hit by Josh George to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Super Volcano ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Chiasson told the Yellowstone Herald.
The Takoyaki, now 8-21, continue their poor start.
