In a low-scoring contest between the Los Angeles Kings and the Pittsburgh Yinzers, Jeremy Valentine, who is tied for 4th in the AL in quality starts with 4, proved to be the difference. The Los Angeles right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-0 Kings win. Valentine yielded no runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6.
