The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs got a good effort from starter Josh Freeland in defeating the Arizona Desert Storm at Bulldogs Ballpark. The final score was 3-2. Freeland, now 2-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 9, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The triumph makes Sudbury 15-12, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 2050.

Sudbury took a 3-0 lead on Freeland's 7th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Ron Cook in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Sudbury to the win.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Freeland.
