Buffalo Sneak Past Takoyaki, 5-4
|
Buffalo Buffalo starter Jimmy Miller pitched a strong game against the Osaka Takoyaki at The Greenhouse, leading the Buffalo to victory, 5-4. Buffalo reliever Danny Staley snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Danny Pantoja shouldered the loss. Getting the save was Randy Nelson, his 1st.
Omar Gallegos hit a 2-run triple off Danny Pantoja in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Buffalo in front, 5-4. Gallegos had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 4.
"Jimmy did a nice job," said Buffalo manager Jim Punk42ae.
The loss has the Takoyaki at 0-3.
