The East Haddam Hyenas grabbed a win, 8-5, over the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs at Bulldogs Ballpark. East Haddam catcher Jack Rayner belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Sudbury is 16-10 after the loss.

Early in the game, center fielder Dave Bland had a 2-run home run for East Haddam. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Hyenas on top, 2-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Bland told the East Haddam Observer.
