Porters 3-2 Victors Over St. Louis
|
In a tight contest between the Dublin Porters and the St. Louis Archies, Juan Gonzalez was the determining factor. The Dublin right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Getting the save was Zion Anthony, his 7th. With the loss, St. Louis sinks to 15-11.
The Porters got a big at-bat from designated hitter Manny Barraza. For the game, Barraza was 1-5 with a home run. In the top of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Dublin a 3-2 lead.
"I was a little disappointed," said St. Louis manager Terry Schneekloth. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
