Beavers Suffer 1-0 Road Loss
|
Yellowstone Super Volcano pitcher Mike Martinez was in fine form, leading his team past the Portland Beavers, 1-0. Kurat Feyzioglu recorded his 1st save for Yellowstone. Portland, with the loss, is 1-2.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Super Volcano had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when third baseman Ryan Chiasson hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Victor Velasco and made the score 1-0, Super Volcano. Chiasson was 1-2 with a walk.
In postgame comments to the Yellowstone Bulletin, Chiasson said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
