Grant Torches Roadrunners for 5 Hits
|
Nick Grant put on a hitting clinic as the Killarney Lakes dumped the Albuquerque Roadrunners, 9-4, at Killarney Ballpark.
The Killarney center fielder made Albuquerque defenders earn their pay, lashing Albuquerque pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Grant said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Nick Grant singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
