Blueberry Bulldogs Pull Out Late-Game Win, 10-9
Despite a great performance by East Haddam center fielder Dave Bland, the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs defeated the Hyenas by the score of 10-9 at Bulldogs Ballpark. Bland was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The win gives Sudbury a record of 16-9.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 9-9, two-time All-Star Josh Freeland won it for Sudbury. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Freeland hit a 1-1 cutter from John Motz for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 10-9 win.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Freeland said.
