Arocha Impressive in Lansing Win
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Lansing Red Storm and the Memphis Chicks. Lansing won it, 2-1. Lansing starter Richard Arocha was in command. Picking up his 6th save was 33-year old left-handed pitcher Jeff Pledger. Every game is important, even these early ones, if the Red Storm hope to make a postseason run.

Arocha, the winner, is now 2-1. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 1 run on 4 hits, while collecting 6 Ks. He essentially shut down the Memphis offense.
