Hinkle Helps Detroit Cruise to 11-3 Win
The Detroit Pizzas beat the Portland Beavers, 11-3, at Pizzas Ballpark. The win was due in part to designated hitter Chris Hinkle, who was 4-5 with 3 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The win gives Detroit a record of 14-10.

Chris Adams, who finished 4th in the AL in extra base hits with 76 in 2047, helped out the Detroit cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder was 2 for 5 with 2 singles.
