Jimenez Heroics Not Enough in 8-4 Loss to Kyiv
Carlos Jimenez did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Waikiki Wayfinders from being beaten, 8-4, to the Kyiv Cossacks at Kyiv Grounds. Jimenez went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Wayfinders, now 6-17, continue their slow start.

Kyiv center fielder Rod Garcia delivered a 2-run single in the bottom of the second. Overall, he went 3 for 5, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and batted in 4.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Garcia told the Kyiv Observer.
