Sad Sack Kings Lose 6th Straight
The Detroit Pizzas knocked off the Los Angeles Kings, 6-3, in Alliance League action at Pizzas Ballpark. Detroit pitcher and Lumberton, Mississippi, native Phil Beard had an outstanding performance. The Kings, now 6-16, continue their inauspicious start.

Detroit went up, 4-3, on Jose Caravaggio's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Caravaggio hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Los Angeles pitcher Jeremy Valentine feeling irked.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Caravaggio. "I just want to win ballgames."
