Kings Stumble, Lose to Cossacks
|
Joe O'Born, who is rated as the 96th best prospect by BNN, propelled his team to victory over the Los Angeles Kings. The final score was 8-1, Kyiv. The winner was O'Born. He threw 8.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Earl Alexander. Los Angeles now has a record of 12-7.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Nate Archer? The Kyiv center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Cossacks on top, 2-0. For the game, Archer had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Archer. "You've got to get results."
