5 Straight Wins for Red Storm

Thanks in large part to second baseman Eddie Chavez, the Lansing Red Storm beat the Los Angeles Kings, 8-3. Chavez was 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI. Brian McNally, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. The Kings drop to 6-13.
Jayden Miller, who is tied for 8th in the FL in extra base hits with 8, drew 1 walk for Lansing. In a tie game with two out in the bottom of the eighth, Miller came through with a run-scoring walk. It put the Red Storm in front, 4-3.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Los Angeles manager Jim KP.
