Desert Storm Handle East Haddam, Snag 6-4 Win
|
Arizona second baseman Juan Silva contributed significantly to his team's 6-4 win over the East Haddam Hyenas. Silva went 1 for 2 with no runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Desert Storm. Terry Donohue earned the save for Arizona, his 2nd. The loss puts East Haddam at 0-2.
With Arizona leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Silva hit a 2-run single off East Haddam hurler Edgar Hernandez. It was the 1st hit of the season for Silva and put his team ahead, 4-1.
Silva told a Arizona Observer reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
