Lamons Slugs Beavers to 11-5 Win
The Portland Beavers knocked off the Brooklyn Knights, 11-5, at Brooklyn Coliseum. Matt Lamons was a big reason Portland won. The center fielder hit 3 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored three times. Steve Thomas picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Mike Rodriguez, who finished 5th in the AL in ERA with 3.85 in 2045, was tagged with the loss. Brooklyn now has a record of 1-1.

Portland grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Lamons hit a 3-run home run off Mike Rodriguez. His 3rd home run of the season put the Beavers out in front, 6-3.
