Dunning Records 8-0 Shutout Against Grand Rapids
|
In a remarkable performance, Santa Clara Vanguard starter Adan Dunning beat the Grand Rapids Whitecaps, 8-0, in an impressive 6-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Vanguard hurler finished with 7 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Grand Rapids manager Eddie Alvarez said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
This season, Dunning has 2 wins and 2 losses and a 2.50 ERA.
