|
Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Josh Robertson, the St. Louis Archies lost to the East Haddam Hyenas, 5-4. Robertson went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Mark Foglesong got the win, improving to 3-1. He worked 6 innings, giving up 2 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 0. The Hyenas, now 14-4, have been sizzling early on.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for John Jordan? The East Haddam designated hitter had a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Hyenas on top, 1-0. For the game, Jordan had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
