Desert Storm Lose Big to Porters, 11-1
The Dublin Porters topped the Arizona Desert Storm, 11-1, in Federation League action at Desert Storm Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Dublin second baseman Victor Ruiz. Juan Gonzalez was the winner. Over 9 innings, he yielded 1 run on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. With the loss, Arizona drops to 12-5.

With Dublin leading 4-1 in the top of the fourth, Ruiz came up to bat against Arizona pitcher Ron Cook. Ruiz hit a sinker to left for a grand slam home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Porters on top, 8-1.
