Waikiki 6-5 Losers to Archies
|
Waikiki third baseman Steve Buffington was sensational. He went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. St. Louis beat the Wayfinders, 6-5. Shuhei Ouchi got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 5.1 innings. Satoharu Sato recorded his 1st save for St. Louis.
St. Louis used the hitting of Alex Garcia to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Archies on top, 5-2. For the game, Garcia had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Garcia.
St. Louis, now 2-0, is setting the league on fire so far.
