5-Hit Blitz by Scott
It seemed Nephi Threshers center fielder Jaden Scott could do no wrong, but it still didn't come out right.

The Threshers fell against the Portland Pickles by the score of 6-4. Scott did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 7 at-bats, but in the end, Portland prevailed at Walker Stadium.

"I felt real good, but my best just wasn't enough," Scott said in the postgame interview. "We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and put the ball in play well, and they fell in for base hits. Some days they do that."

Jaden Scott grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off David Gonzalez in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, struck out in the 9th, singled in the 11th and singled in the 13th.

This year, Scott has hit at a .305 clip with 27 RBIs, 6 home runs and 33 runs scored.
