Takoyaki Coast to 11-2 Victory
|
The Osaka Takoyaki beat the East Haddam Hyenas, 11-2. Osaka pitcher and Center Point, Alabama, native Justin Donahue led the way. Donahue picked up the win for Osaka, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. The Takoyaki, now 2-0, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Mark Radford had a big 3-run home run for the Takoyaki in the bottom of the third inning. With Osaka leading 4-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he sized up a curveball from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Justin Jones and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Takoyaki on top, 7-1.
Osaka manager GM KDR commended his team for "putting the hammer down."
